As part of the Resource Box program, our partners at Adelaide University are carrying out incredible research on the impacts of nature connectedness to children’s mental health. If you would like to be a part of this powerful research keep an eye on your inbox. Details on a survey to record the positive impacts of the Resource Box on your children, will be emailed to you very soon.
Join us to understand more about the Roots & Shoots Australia Resource Box. Meet the team and fellow educators to learn how to maximise your box and lesson plans with pupils. Get inspiration from teacher’s already using the box, share ideas and hear from partners who make the program happen.NESA accreditation is available for three hours per session. Please provide your NESA ID number, details and confirm you’ve joined live or watched the recording online within ten days to qualify.
Session Two: 19th November 4-5pm AEDT – Plant a forest with Woodiwild & school case studies
Session Three: 10th December 4-5pm AEDT – Christmas Celebration & share your work!
We have a series of informative and fun resources available for you to download for Years 2 to 6. Download them for free at our School Resources page.
To really make the most of our Resource Box, we highly recommend you complete an Action Plan. This is your chance to really think through the impact you will make on children, your community and wider world through the box. The Action Plan tool will help you determine your priorities with the box – and give you a really clear way to outline how you will create change.
This is optional, but will greatly assist you in fully maximising your Resource Box. It is also an oppurtunitiy to celebrate your creativity and expertise – and share with our team how you will meet your classroom’s needs, start some on-the-ground conservation and give back to your local community.
