Keen to care for our incredible Australian environment?
Excited to make friendships for life?
Passionate about making a difference?
If this sounds like you, you’re a perfect fit for NYLC!
Inspired by the incredible life and environmental legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall, the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) is a leadership experience for young change champions build by the community at Roots & Shoots Australia.
What is the NYLC?
Our National Youth Leadership Council is a passionate group of Australian young leaders who care deeply for animals, people and our shared environment. Members passionately share Dr. Jane’s message and act as the youth voice for Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Australia.
The 9-month leadership experience (February-October 2023) features a hybrid blend of in-person and online sessions. We meet 1-2 times each month for leadership sessions with environmental leaders and youth members living near you and across the Asia Pacific.
How will I benefit?
This free leadership experience will equip you to:
- Learn to share world-changing ideas in creative, innovative ways
- Grow with youth environmental leadership events across Australia
- Create friendships for life by connecting with like-minded peers across the world
- Connect with environmental leaders and explore their diverse careers
- Share by Jane’s message and inspire family and friends with hope!
