Roots & Shoots Australia invites you to apply for a mini grant of $250 or $500 to fund your Roots & Shoots project. Eligible projects will be youth-lead, address a local school or community need, and create positive outcomes for animals, people, or our shared environment. I am not a member of Roots & Shoots, can I apply for a mini-grant?
Mini grants are available to Roots & Shoots Australia members only. Becoming a member is easy and completely free! Simply register here to be eligible to apply for a Roots & Shoots mini-grant.
Is my project eligible for a mini grant?
You are eligible to apply if you are in Australia, a member of Roots & Shoots, your project is youth lead, and it will create positive outcomes for animals, people, or the environment.
Are mini grants only available to school groups?
No, anyone in Australia can apply! Individuals, community groups, school groups, non-profit groups, and families can apply if their project meets the eligibility criteria.
What if my campaign is not completed by the final report deadline?
Roots & Shoots campaigns come in all shapes and sizes. If your campaign continues beyond the final report deadline, simply report on what you have accomplished at that time. Be sure to also include a description of your goals for the future.
I missed the deadline, can I still apply?
Unfortunately, no. If you miss the deadline for 2019 you will need to wait until the 2020 application round opens.
