Annie – WA
Annie Affleck grew up in central Queensland and went to school in a small rural town named Biloela. Throughout her schooling years, she was actively involved with local community projects to better her town. She is an eager learner, especially in regards to wildlife and conservation. In 2018, she moved to Perth, Western Australia and started studying at Murdoch University. She joined the Roots and Shoots program and started volunteering at Perth Zoo as a tour guide. In 2019, she became the secretary of the Roots and Shoots Group at Murdoch University. She has always had a desire to work with her community, and her greatest passion has always been with wildlife.
Annie’s dream is to see a world where animals and humans work in harmony, and she believes that creating a culture where that is possible is achievable through the Roots and Shoots program.
