Roots & Shoots is a global movement of volunteers who provide services to their local community which endeavour to protect, preserve and improve their environment for all species.
These services are highly diverse and tailored to suit the specific issues within each individual community across theworld. Roots & Shoots activism may include advocating to government bodies to legislate stronger environmental policies (such as stopping further investment into non-renewable energy sources which enhance the climate effect) or activism could involve connecting young people with their local environment to foster a love of nature.
Roots & Shoots volunteers are encouraged to utilise their strengths whether that be public speaking, writing, artistic expression and so on to partake in events with the overall aim to connect animals and people with their shared environment.
