Kalamunda Primary School was recently lucky enough to receive a Mini Grant from Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots program.
We used the funds to complete construction of a frog pond in our productive garden area, to attract and protect native frogs in our local area.
We also planted native flowering plants and installed insect houses to attract pollinators such as native bees and butterflies to our garden.
We are using the garden as an educational resource across the school to help students learn about lifecycles, plant growth, germination, pollination and food chains.
We are very appreciative of the funds received.
