What is the Roots & Shoots Resource Box?
The Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots Resource Box is a FREE box of resources for primary schools and home schools (of children of primary school age) across Australia. It aims to educate students, and the community, via interactive and action-based programs about wildlife, the natural environment and challenges facing the planet.
Registration for the 2022 Resource Box is now closed. The Resource Boxes are expected to be delivered around May/June 2023. Last year Roots & Shoots Australia produced and distributed almost 4000 boxes to schools across Australia free of charge – to educate and inspire the next generation of custodians of planet earth.
What’s included?
This year’s Roots & Shoots Resource Box features four beautiful and exclusive hardback books. It will include a second volume of Living Landscapes, a book on the rivers and wetlands of the Murray Darling Basin, and books on animal camouflage and global ecosystems.
Educators will receive lesson plans, video resources, school fundraising opportunities and group support. Also included is information on how to get involved in our global Roots & Shoots youth-led movement and fundraising with our tree-planting friends at WOODiWILD.
